Composition:

Each 1 ml of MASTERT REX150 contains:

• 150 mg Drostanolone Propionate
• Ethlyl Oleate q.s.

Indication & Dosage:
Intramuscular
For use in females, for palliation of androgenresponsive recurrent mammary cancer in women who are more than one year but less than five years postmenopausal.
The dose of these medicines will be different for different patients.

Contraindications:
Androgen – dependent carcinoma of the prostate or of the male mammary gland Hypercalcaemia accompanying malignant tumours Past or present liver tumours Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Special Precautions:
Cardiovascular disorders, skeletal metastases, renal or hepatic impairment, epilepsy, migraine, diabetes or other conditions which may be aggravated by fluid retention, eg heart failure. Elderly, prepubertal boys. Monitor signs of virilization (females) and development of priapism or excessive sexual stimulation (males). Periodic haemoglobin, lipid determinations and rectal prostate examination.
Adverse Drug Reactions:
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects.
Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome: Acne; unnatural hair growth; enlarging clitoris; hoarseness or deepening of voice; irregular menstrual periods; unnatural hair growth; unusual hair loss;Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur: Bone pain; nausea or vomiting; sore tongue; swelling of feet or lower legs; unusual bleeding; unusual weight gain; Black, tarry, or light-colored stools; dark-colored urine; purple- or red-colored spots on body or inside the mouth or nose; sore throat and/or fever; vom iting of blood;This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur. Drug Interactions:
Enhance activities of ciclosporine, antidiabetics, thyroxine, anticoagulants.
Long term use of testosterone may cause resistance to effects of neuromuscular blockers. Enhance fluid retention from corticosteroids.
Mechanism of Action:
Dromostanolone is a synthetic androgenic anabolic steroid and is approximately 5 times as potent as natural methyltestostero ne. Like testosterone and other androgenic hormones, dromostanolone binds to the androgen receptor. This causes downstream genetic transcriptional changes. This ultimately causes retention of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus; increases protein anabolism; and decreases amino acid catabolism.
The antitumour activity of dromostanolone appears related to reduction or competitive inhibition of prolactin receptors or estrogen receptors or production.
Storage:
Store at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C), in a tightly-closed container. Store away from heat, moisture, and light.
Do not store in the bathroom. Keep out of the reach of children and away from pets.
